We Are At The Table!!!
Here are the updates!
March 15, 2025 Update
-
As part of ground rules, UHS proposed that DCNA waive rights “to issue unilateral press releases or unilaterally communicate with the media, or otherwise post information concerning bargaining sessions via social media.” DCNA refused to waive these important rights.
-
DCNA proposed a date certain when no more new proposals could be added in order to prevent UHS from any attempt to derail reaching a contract. UHS disagreed.
-
The parties exchanged initial substantive contract proposals: UHS - Preamble, Recognition, Non-Discrimination, Savings and Safe Harbor for Clinical Concerns; DCNA - Nondiscrimination and Harassment, Membership, Union Representatives, Successorship (same as Savings), Professional Issues Committee, Labor Management Conferences and Discipline and Discharge
-
The parties reached tentative agreements on the Preamble and Savings articles.
-
UHS rejected DCNA’s proposal to include harassment in the Non-Discrimination article, stating that is has a harassment policy and would like to keep Non-Discrimination and Harassment separate.
-
UHS presented a Job Posting and Transfer proposal. DCNA proposed that the initial date of the job posting be included in the listing as well as notification to employees when new jobs are posted to ensure they have a fair and equal opportunity to apply for the position.
DCNA and UHS agreed on four future bargaining dates:
April 22 & 23 and May 13 & 14!
